How affiliate links work on Champagne.co, and what they mean for you.
Champagne.co earns commission on qualifying purchases made through some of our retailer links. This page explains exactly how that works.
Our current arrangements
We take part in the Awin affiliate network and currently have approved arrangements with three UK partners: Winebuyers, DrinkSupermarket and The Whisky Exchange. Links to their product listings are affiliate links. Winebuyers is a marketplace; where a listing identifies the seller, we show that seller alongside the offer.
How an affiliate link works
The link records that you arrived at the retailer from Champagne.co. If you then buy something that qualifies under that retailer's programme, the retailer may pay us a commission. Not every purchase qualifies, and a commission is never guaranteed. Commission does not add anything to the price you pay.
How we label it
Commercial sections carry the label "Ad · Retailer links" with a Details link to this page. Affiliate links are marked as sponsored links. Ordinary producer profiles, guides and learning articles are not paid placements and are not labelled as advertising.
What we do not claim
We link to the retailers we actually work with. We do not survey the whole market, and we do not publish "best price" or "lowest price" claims. Our comparisons use the retailer listings available to us, not the whole market. A headline bottle price compares the same bottle format; cases and larger or smaller bottles are not treated as equivalent. Prices show when they were checked. Delivery costs and final availability are confirmed by the retailer.
Tracking and your choice
Affiliate tracking is optional and off unless you turn it on. We pass your choice to Awin with the retailer link. Without optional tracking consent, the link carries a declined-consent signal and still works. The retailer you visit has its own privacy and cookie information. You can change this at any time from "Cookie settings" in the footer or on our [cookies page](/uk/cookies).
Editorial independence
Whether a wine, producer or retailer appears editorially is not decided by commission. If a commercial arrangement ever conflicts with what we think is true or useful, the editorial judgement wins.
