What Champagne.co stores in your browser, and what you can turn off.
Champagne.co keeps browser storage to a minimum. The list below is generated from the site's own code, so it cannot drift from what the site actually does.
Your choices
Storage that is strictly necessary — your market choice, your age confirmation, the record of the choice you make here, and the scroll position your browser restores — does not need consent. Two things do, and both are off unless you turn them on:
- Optional measurement: first‑party counting of pages and retailer offers seen and clicked.
- Affiliate tracking: permission for our affiliate network to set and read its own click identifier when you follow a retailer link. Advertising and affiliate storage is not "necessary" simply because it earns us money, so we ask. If you say no, we send the network an explicit refusal with every link, and the links still work.
Rejecting is exactly as easy as accepting, you can change your mind at any time, and your choice is kept for a year before we ask again.
Other storage we do not control
Our hosting platform may set its own technical values (for example a deployment marker named __dpl) when serving the site. These come from the platform rather than from our code, so we describe them separately and do not claim to know more about them than the provider documents. If you follow a link to a retailer, that retailer and, where you have allowed it, the affiliate network may set their own storage on their own sites — that is covered by their policies, not this one.
Fonts and third parties
Our fonts are served from champagne.co itself. We do not load third‑party trackers, advertising scripts or social widgets on our pages.
Exactly what we store
The entries from our own code are generated from that code, so they stay accurate. Champagne.co's own code sets no advertising, cross-site or profiling identifier. The last two entries are not ours: one is set by the affiliate network on its own domain if you allow affiliate tracking, and one by our hosting platform.

Remembers how far down each page you had scrolled, so using the back button returns you to the same place. It holds scroll positions only — no identifier and nothing about you.

Offer view and outbound-click events
Optional measurement · Champagne.co servers (first party) · Stored as dated rows that identify the offer, not you. We have no automated deletion for them, so they are reviewed at least every 12 months and anything no longer needed for reporting is removed.
If — and only if — you allow optional measurement, we count which retailer offers were seen and which were clicked, so we can tell which parts of the site are useful. Recording an outbound retailer click itself is necessary, because a referral has to be reconcilable.

Only if you allow affiliate tracking. It lets the network attribute a purchase to Champagne.co. If you have not allowed it we send the network an explicit refusal with every link, and the links still work. What the network stores is governed by its own policy, not ours.
