Bollinger Special Cuvée is the core multi-vintage Champagne.
Champagne DNA
- Grapes
- Pinot Noir 60% · Chardonnay 25% · Meunier 15%
- Origin
- Premier Cru
The current technical page states a blend of 60% Pinot Noir, 25% Chardonnay and 15% Meunier, with more than 85% Grand and Premier Cru fruit, a majority of reserve wines and dosage currently stated at 7–8 g/L. That reserve library is used to support continuity in Special Cuvée and gives the house a practical link between vineyard origin, time and blending. In Special Cuvée, the house currently states that reserve wines form the majority of the blend and that at least 10% comes from reserve wines stored in magnum. Special Cuvée is the best starting point for understanding the house because it combines Pinot Noir emphasis with the reserve-wine programme that underpins Bollinger's multi-vintage identity.
