Louis Massing is a family Champagne house based in Avize, at the heart of the Côte des Blancs. Its identity is strongly tied to Chardonnay and to the contrast between different sectors of Avize and neighbouring classified villages. The current vineyard estate covers 11 hectares, while the house also works with fruit from surrounding crus including Oger, Cramant, Le Mesnil-sur-Oger and Villeneuve.

The family team combines cellar and management roles. Eliane Deregard is chairman, Estelle Moroy is managing director, and Jean-Bernard Moroy is cellar master and oenologist. The house also presents Julien Moroy as part of the next generation. The winery's 31 thermo-regulated stainless-steel vats and 15 casks make small-lot vinification practical. The family also prepares its own dosage liqueur and adjusts finishing choices according to the year and cuvée.

The differences are visible across the range. Mineralis Brut is principally stainless-steel Chardonnay with completed malolactic fermentation and extended lees ageing. Arcanae uses a solera-style reserve component and barrel ageing. Terranum Les Terres de Maladries divides its Chardonnay between stainless steel and barrel, with partial malolactic fermentation.
