It is therefore the most direct route into Pierre Mignon’s Grand Cru Chardonnay programme without moving into one of the more specialised long-aged wines. Pierre Mignon is based in Le Breuil and works around 20 hectares across both the Vallée de la Marne and the Côte des Blancs. That split geography is central to the range. The 36–48 months on lees and 6 g/L dosage on the current release give the wine a defined place within the range: more developed than a straightforward young Blanc de Blancs, but still intended as a clear expression of Grand Cru Chardonnay rather than a prestige or single-parcel statement.
